There's a new arms race, and the weapon of choice is magic.
Someone stole a grain bin from a cantankerous farmer in rural
Alberta, and Valerie Stevens
is on the case. Finding it should
be an easy task for the police, too bad the thief has been dead for
more than sixty years.
She's a civil servant for Government Services and Infrastructure Canada, though her name won't be found on any federal ledger. The Prime Minister will deny knowledge of her existence despite his habit of calling her apartment on a hot line to discuss the scores of last night's hockey game with her boyfriend.
She's been accused of sorcery, and prefers to be
known as an alchemist. Her primary
source of information about the preternatural world is the ghost of
a long-dead Prime Minister who Valerie not so lovingly refers to as
"Fifty Dollar Bill". Oh, and that grain bin? Well, it just fell out
of a hole in reality, crash landing on a busy Calgary intersection
at rush-hour.
What's a grain bin got to do with an undead presence? Moreover, why
are terrorists planning to unleash a biblical plague on a major
Canadian city? The answers lay with group of corrupt cops who
moonlight as vampires, a zombie named Caroline, and of course, a
two-thousand year old dwarf troll mage.
Things are about to get ugly for Valerie Stevens as she discovers a world where nations have resorted to dark magic and rogue organizations made up of everything from shape shifters to politically radical vampires threaten to upset the global balance of power. More...

Step into the unseen world
Marshall Conrad's superpowers could save the
world...if he ever figures out how to use them.
There's talk of a serial killer terrorizing the good people of
Greenfield. Finding him should be easy for a guy with superpowers, but
it's not that simple: Flying's not all it's cracked up to be, and this
particular villain seems immune to Marshall's tricks.
Marshall's only helpers are an overweight shopkeeping witch, an old Siamese cat, and a hard drinking senior citizen who can lift automobiles. A crazy cast of corrupt cops, Ogres and other Netherworld surprises is all par for the course when you have to save a city from a baneful and simmering evil about to be unleashed.
"I have to say that this was definitely the
best book of that genre that I’ve read in a while. An excellent read and
it will keep you entertained from the first page on."

"Fast-paced with colorful characters, Unseen World is sometimes
gritty and sometimes witty but always a lot of fun. Cummings has packed
a lot into only 257 pages, and every single one of them flew past at the
speed of a reluctant superhero."
Genre Reviews
"I really enjoyed this story, Sean adds some comedy into the mix and of course, I'm a fan of UF so I will be there when the next installment comes out for this series." Ruthie's Book Reviews
"The plot makes for a great read in that the main character could be the guy next door, and the reader is allowed to peek inside the making of a superhero." You Gotta Read Reviews
